Downton Baptist Church is committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults. Our safe to grow statement is: As members of this church, we commit ourselves to the nurturing, protecting and safekeeping of all, especially children and young people, as laid out in our Policy Statement. We ask all members to be vigilant for the safety of our children in the building at all times, especially on a Sunday morning. The safeguarding policy is under regular review and is displayed on the notice board in the foyer.  All those leading work with children and vulnerable adults have a DBS check.

How to find us

South Lane is to the right of the White Horse Public House in Downton. The Church is situated a little way up the lane, on the left hand side.

Parking is available in the Church car park just past the Church.

Access for all

We want to make sure anyone can join in and so although the Chapel is upstairs, a lift is available. We have disabled toilets on the ground floor and provide a loop system for those with Hearing Aids. We run a full programme for babies, children and youth.

If you are unable to join us for a service you don’t need to miss out, sermons are recorded and are available HERE.
