CRECHE
Our new Creche team of creche leaders are waiting to welcome our youngest children to Church on Sundays. The creche starts half way through the service, when parents are invited to take them to the creche. There are toys, stories and simple crafts.
JUNIOR CHURCH
Our new Junior Church team are excited to share a new programme of activities with our primary school aged children. Junior church starts half way through the service when the young people are invited to go to their group. We hope that this is an opportunity for our young people to experience Jesus for themselves.
TEENS
Our young people are important to us. We would love to welcome our secondary school young people to find something for them. For them to ask questions, to experience Jesus and to serve and to know they belong to a family of Christ.
This will be a varied programme and more details will be given.
Safeguarding
Downton Baptist Church is committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults. Our safe to grow statement is: As members of this church, we commit ourselves to the nurturing, protecting and safekeeping of all, especially children and young people, as laid out in our Policy Statement. We ask all members to be vigilant for the safety of our children in the building at all times, especially on a Sunday morning.
The safeguarding policy is under regular review and is displayed on the notice board in the foyer. All those leading work with children and vulnerable adults have a DBS check.
